Even as Ashrae evolves as an artist, her heartfelt and electric vocals remain at the centre of her music making. Since the early stages of her career back in 2017 with the release of her 5-track self titled EP, Ashrae has developed herself as both an artist and a songwriter. After her EP charted at #20 on the Australian iTunes Album Charts and hovered at #2 on the iTunes RnB/Soul Charts, Ashrae has grown a strong following on the sun-kissed sands of the Central Coast, Australia, with local gigs and shows. In the early months of 2019, Ashrae recorded her single Landslide with producer Jack Nigro at The Grove Studios. Her release of Landslide nods to her roots in jazz and soul, and points towards a new exploration of sound.
Ashrae's work as a lyricist has grown since the early days of her career. Her writing and work as a lyricist increased substantially since 2021, working with many Australian bands, artists and producers in Australia. These works are set to be released in the coming year.
As well as this, Ashrae's enthusiasm for teaching and interest in the voice has inspired her to establish her own singing school. Ashrae teaches in a range of primary and secondary schools on the Central Coast, where she empowers and educates her students. Ashrae focuses her teaching on correct vocal technique, vocal health, building of confidence, and various approaches to release your inner voice.
Whether it's through performance, songwriting, recording, or teaching, Ashrae leaves a lasting impression
...and she has only just begun.
